"Entered, according to act of Congress, in the year 1863, by Philip Bacon, in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the United States, for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania" printed on back of the mount.
"The nett [sic] proceeds from the sale of these photographs will be devoted to the education of colored people in the Department of the Gulf, now under the command of Maj. Gen'l Banks" printed on back of the mount.
"T476B" and "WD780" and "11-14" written in pencil on back of the mount.
