No. 1 air passenger presents award to PMG. Washington, D.C., May 20. Climaxing the celebration of National Airmail Week, Andre Kostelanetz, noted orchestra and a two-time winner of a trophy for being America's number one air traveler, today presented to Postmaster General Farley, a bronze placque which he (Kostelanzetz) sent around the world by airmail to show how that branch of the service has speeded up the delivery of letters and packages. In 1937 Kostelantz won the title of number air passenger by flying a total of 136, 200 miles. In the center is Lily Pons, noted opera singer and financee of Kostelanetz

(Branch of St. Louis firm.) Peter's Shoe Co. Boy on left end is Harry Chrystal, (Add. Box #9, De Soto) an inveterate smoker. He is a "brusher," gets $3 a week; has worked one summer; is on now "for the winter." Said, after hesitation, when I asked age, "I'm fourteen." Doesn't appear to be. Boy in middle and right end boy seem to be under 14. They are Walter Johnson and Eugene Rieser, and claim to be regular workers. Walter said he had just been "fired" and Eugene had "got mad and quit."  Location: De Soto, Missouri.

Mrs. Luth Jaeger, member of the executive board of the Minnesota Branch, also President of the Scandinavian Suffrage Association with a membership of more than a thousand leading Scandinavian women of the state, which organization has at all times co-operated in every way with the work of the Minnesota Branch and rendered very valuable assistance in securing the special session and the poll of the legislature.  Mrs. Jaeger was the first women to graduate from the University of Minnesota, daughter of a leading Scandinavian editor, has two sons in the service during the war.
