Eliot, today asked the Senate Finance Committee in executive session for increased grants for child and maternal welfare assistance. They testified in favor amendments sponsored by Senators Robert LaFollette and James Murray, by which funds for state maternal and child health services would increase from $3,800,000 to $5,800,000.
