The "boot", invented by Dr. Louis A. Hermann of Cincinnati, induces circulation by alternately increasing and decreasing air pressure. Pearson's return home. Washington, D.C., Sept. 5. Drew Pearson, writer and co-author of the "Washington Merry Go Round" returned to his home here today with his wife's fiver year old son, Tyler Abell, "kidnapped" by Pearson from George Abell, also a writer and the former husband of the present Mrs. Pearson. Pearson took custody of the child on the British Isle of Sark, on the ground that Abell had taken the boy out of the United States without the mother's permission, assertedly contrary to court order, they are shown in the garden of the Pearson Home in Georgetown.

New U.S. Supreme Court Marshal. Washington, D.C May 3. Thomas E. Waggaman has been named Marshal of the United States Supreme Court to succeed Frank Key Green, who died last week. For 27 years Waggaman has been an employee of the court, starting there as a page boy in 1911 when only 13 years. He was apppointed court crier in 1915, a post he held until yesterday. He is a native of Washington and a graduate of Georgetown University in law, 5/3/38

As part of an educational program, the heartbeats of an unborn baby were broadcast today from Georgetown University Hospital. This was made possible by the use of a specially designed microphone placed on the chest of the expectant mother, the mother Addie Gonyea, is shown with left to right; Dr. J.G.
