In 1906, the Sweetwater County Library was built in Green River, Wyoming, with a $20,000 Carnegie Grant. The library was moved two blocks east in 1980 to a 15,500-square-foot facility that is its current location. Besides the tens of thousands of volumes housed at the library, the facility also serves as the location for the business office, director's office and outreach services. The building was remodeled over the years to increase space for patron services

Bridge over Black's Fork of the Green River at Fort Bridger, a Wyoming state historical site in the tiny Uinta County town of the same name in the southwestern corner of that state. Established by "mountain man" Jim Bridger and Louis Vasquez in 1843 as an emigrant supply stop along the Oregon Trail, the fort was obtained by the Mormons in the early 1850s, and then became a military outpost in 1858
