Arriving in Washington by plane this morning, Fred Pieper, member of the United Automobile Workers Executive Board, was expected to give a report CIO John L. Lewis on the incident in Detroit yesterday when Homer Martin, UAW President, is alleged to have pulled a pistol on the rank- and-file members of his union. Pieper came to Washington on the reservation previously cancelled by Martin. 10/1/37
