Grand jury "killed" union-sponsored program in Harlan County, Ky. Washington, D.C., April 27. Appearing before the Senate Civil Liberties Committee today, former Rep. John Young Brown related how a union-sponsored radio program, designed to give publicity to the conditions in "Bloody Harlan" County, was destroyed because the Harlan grand jury threaten to summon all participants in the program.
