Significance: Construction started by David Abbott in 1820 and finished by his son Benjamin in 1824. David Abbott was one of the earliest settlers in the area, purchasing 1,800 acres in 1810, and prominent citizen active in politics. Homer Page purchased the property in 1861. His wife Marion was an elder sister of Thomas Edison, a frequent guest. The house remains in the hands of Page family descendants.
