Back from a trailer housing site comes this Department of Agriculture truck with 150 tires on which new war housing trailers were delivered from the Los Angeles plant of Western Trailer Company. Upon delivery, trailers are shifted to horses. Wheels and tires are removed and sent back for the delivery of other wooden trailers. The original plan was to leave them on the trailers to make fast evacuation of trailers and workers possible. The acute tire shortage made the plan unfeasible
