White House gets Lincoln portrait through will of Mrs. Robert Todd Lincoln. Washington, D.C., March 22. Through provisions of the will of the late Mrs. Robert Todd Lincoln who died in 1937, a portrait of Lincoln painted by G.P.A. Healy was to become the property of her daughter, Mary Lincoln Isham, and following her death to be offered to the U.S. Government, provided that it be hung in the White House. Through executors of the will, the White House accepted the painting and it was today delivered to Capt. Howard Ker U.S. Engineer Corps, in charge of buildings and grounds at the White House. Capt. Ker is shown with the Healy portrait. 3-22-39
