Summary

Significance: The study area is in west-central Texas at the confluence of the Concho and Colorado Rivers. This is cattle and sheep ranching land which encompasses a territory of about 19,000 acres located at a point where Concho, Coleman, and Runnels Counties meet. For centuries various Indian groups considered the rich bottomland and rough uplands their home.
