Judge Charles Smith House, 22 South Queen Street, Lancaster, Lancaster County, PA
Summary
Significance: The house was a fine townhouse of the Federal period, similar in design to the Philadelphia townhouses with Lancaster touches. Judge Smith, the original occupant, was a President Judge for Lancaster County and the son-in-law of Jasper Yeates, who built the house for him. Yeates was also a judge of the State Supreme Court for 25 years. The house was demolished in 1967.
