Summary
Significance: The Peterson house is representative of many of the historic activities that occurred in the Bear Creek Lake Area. The house is associated with farming, dairying and mining which were important activities in the area. The house is one of the few surviving examples of rural Victorian vernacular architecture that were common in the Denver area but are being rapidly destroyed and replace by modern dwellings.
