Summary
Significance: This building is a primary contributor of the Rocky Flats Plant historic district, and is associated with the U.S. strategy of nuclear military deterrence during the Cold War, a strategy considered of major importance in preventing Soviet nuclear attack. This building was one of the four original manufacturing buildings that comprised the Plant in the early 1950s and was the fourth building to become operational. Beginning in 1953, this structure housed the Plant's only enriched uranium component manufacturing and recovery operations...
