South Pass City, General View, South Pass City, Fremont County, WY

Significance: South Pass City was the focal point in the development in the Sweetwater Gold Mine Field, the largest gold rush area in Wyoming. In addition, it was the center of the first successful women's suffrage activity in the United States.
