Unveiling of MAINE Monument - Public domain portrait photograph
Summary
Photo shows Frederick D. Owen (left), Department of Public Buildings and Grounds, Washington, D.C.; and George Hearst about to pull cord to unveil the memorial to the battleship Maine, which exploded in the harbor of Havana, Cuba, during the Spanish-American War of 1898.
