Summary

Significance: The garage contributes to the character of the farmstead continuously owned and occupied by the Hoelscher family for over a century. Square in plan, with a pyramidal roof, the garage exemplifies a form typical of folk architecture from 1905 to 1930. The garage faces north and is located on the south side of the farmstead near the road. The two-car garage, 20 feet y 20 feet, is constructed of wood frame and siding, rests on a concrete slab and has a hipped roof covering with shingles. On the north side of the building, are two garage doors one is a rolling vertical board door, while the other is a overhead metal door. The east and west side elevations each contain one small window in the center with four-pane sash. The building is in fair condition.
