Jacquinot De Basengers, French priest attached to the International Red Cross at Shanghai, today told President Roosevelt of the suffering among Chinese refugees on the area of the undeclared war in the Far East. In this country to aid in the drive for funds to aid the refugees, the priest was accompanied to the White House by the French ambassador Count Rene Saintquentin, 5/26/38
