Lilienthal, testifying before a Senate Agricultural Committee, today answered charges that the administrations new Flood Control and Power Bill would endanger private power holdings. Lilienthal presented figures showing that private power companies in the area served by the TVA had actually increased their gross and net incomes since TVA came into existance.
