The Happiest Girl in Serbia. She was chosen to represent Uncle Sam in a patriotic spectacle in the American Red Cross orphanage at Belgrade lately. Uncle Sam is a sort of fairy godfather to the 300 Serbian war orphans in this home, because he typifies to them the American spirit. Before this orphanage was opened, these children were just roaming about the country, without homes and without hope. In the orphanage they not only are well fed, well dressed, and well cared for but attend classes, and will be qualified to make their own living when they leave
