Social security board now full-staffed. Washington, D.C., Nov. 12. With the recent appointment of Mary M. Dewson and George E. Bigge, the Social Security Board is now complete. Takes oath of office as member of Social Security board. Washington, D.C., Aug. 9. George E. Bigge, of Providence, Rhode Island, today taking the oath of office as a member of the Social Security Board to succeed the former Chairman John J. Winant. Named Assistant Secretary of Labor. Washington, D.C., Jan. 20. Marshall E. Dimock, of Chicago, who was recently named Second Assistant of Labor, assumed his duties a few days ago. He has been an associate professor of public administration at the University of Chicago since 1932 and a consultant of the National Resources Committee since 1935. He succeeds Arthur J. Altmeyer, who became Chairman of the Social Security Board two years ago, 1/20/39

Among the first to meet with James Roosevelt, son of the president and a member of his secretariat, as he began his conferences today with head of independent and emergency agencies, were Arthur J.
