War Secretary presents Army Flyers with Mackay Trophy. Washington, D.C., Oct. 14. As a reward for their development and demonstration of the original automatic landing device for aircraft, Captains Carl J. Crane and George V. Holloman, U.S. Army Air Corps, were today presented with the MacKay trophy for 1937 by Secretary of War Harry H. Woodring.
