Defends use of high-powered radio stations, Washington, D.C. Oct, 7. Appearing before the Federal Communications Commission today, Powell Crosley, Jr., of the Crosley Radio Corp., defended the use of high-powered broadcasting stations. The Crosley Corporation operates station WLW at Cincinnati, Ohio, which is operated on 500 kilowatts, the highest in the country.
