Large glass panels permit observation by visitors and view of plant by control room operators. Ceiling of control room is assymmetric barrel vault with acoustic tile surface; all light is indirect from reflectors above low soffit along front of room. Last Austrian Minister to lecture at Georgetown University. Washington, D.C., Sept. 20. Edgar L.G. Prochnik, whose long career as Minister of Austria to the United States came to an end when Hitler absorbed his country into the German Reich, will teach and lecture at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Commerce this term. "A man without a country" after 40 years in the diplomatic service, Prochnik has already terminated his service with the German Embassy here. He would not comment on the report that he would take out American citizenship papers. Prochnik is pictures with a plaque presented to him by Georgetown a few years ago, 9/20/38

Gardenor, Detroit Times Reporter, told the House Committee investigating Un-American affairs. Students at the Michigan State Agricultural College at East Lansing entered the picture Gardener said, when Union pickets attempted to close restaurants. Group picking shrimp at Biloxi Canning Co. Olga, five-year-old on the end was helping her mother. I tried to get her photo at home when they stopped working, but the child stubbornly refused to be taken. Her mother said, "She's ugly." but it seemed to me that the child could be expected to be tired out after work that began so early. Work was light and only a small crew was at work, but within an hour I found at factory and at the homes the following: (See label 2022) [#2022 caption: ...Two children of five years. One of seven years.Two of eight years. One of nine. Two of ten. Two of eleven (one had been working at this factory two years). Three of twelve, (one working here 4 years and one two years). I do not believe this is a complete list of the youngsters.]  Location: Biloxi, Mississippi.
