Slated for Dictatorship of Bureau of Air Commerce. Washington, D.C., Jan. 7. According to reports Fred D. Flagg, Jr., of Chicago, will be named to succeed Eugene Vidal as Director of the Bureau of Air Commerce, Department of Commerce. The talk is that the Bureau will be completely reorganized by Secretary Roper. The Report says that Vidal will be designated as a special representative of Secretary Roper for an eight week European tour to study aviation abroad and arrange for reciprical landing privileges for transatlantic flights

More than 200 representatives of the nation's airlines and technical experts from the U.S. Bureau of Air Commerce met at conference today to study recent air crashes with a view to preventing such accidents in the future. Widal inspects engine in new Flivver plane. Washington, D.C., Dec. 15. A new Flivver plane, powered with a Ford V-8 Motor and capable of a cruising speed of 95 miles an hour, was demonstrated to Eugene Vidal, Director of the Bureau of Air Commerce, Department of Commerce, today. The plane has a wing spread of 36 feet. A low gas mileage is claimed for the ship, 16 miles to the gallon, on its flight from St. Louis to Chicago in 2 hours, 33 minutes. Director Vidal is shown inspecting the motor with Hayden Campbell, of St. Joseph, Mo., who flew the plane here
