These two little Russian girls are from Petrograd and their teddy bear, doll and sweater are from Red Cross chapters in America. The girls are members of colonies of children sent from European Russia to escape famine under the Bolshevik armies cut them off from hoem say they were taken under the care of the American Red Cross. A thousand were brought to Vladivostok in the summer and fall of 1919
