This type of pre-fabricated temporary emergency house will be shipped to Great Britain by the United States under lend-lease. War Production Board has allotted materials to the FEA for the production of 30,000 of these houses, the designed of which has been carefully screened to reduce to a minimum use of critical materials, including lumber. Procurement of the buildings will be undertaken by the Federal Public Housing Authority of the National Housing Agency. Bids for the construction of these units were to be in by March 5, 1945
