When the Union forces made their triumphal entry into Washington at the close of the Civil War 65 years ago, Orlando Learned could not come because of a battle wound. But at last the Union veteran has been able to make a trip to the Capital, bringing with him his cherished 36-starred Union flag, which he obtained during a celebration of the fall of Vicksburg and later carried in into battle with him.
