Johnson was born and spent the first five years of his life on this site, but the old cabin was demolished in the 1940s. Johnson and his wife, Lady Bird, had this approximation of the birth cabin built for use as a guest house, and it is full of memorabilia from Mrs. Johnson's own early family years
