Trout flown to President Roosevelt. Washington, D.C., May 21. Erdorn W. Wood, 57 year old sportsman went to Mystery Pond, New Hampshire, swished 29 trout from its 75-foot dept and started to Washington and President Roosevelt with the catch. His newly constructed glass-bottomed boat drifted on the pond during a rain storm, while Wood, depending solely on fly-casting, hooked the Presidential meal. The trout measured from 9 to 16 inches. Indian Princess invites President Grand Council Washington D.C. June 28. Dressed in full regalia, Princess White Deer, extended an invitation to President Roosevelt at the White House today to attend the Six Nations Iroquis Grand Indian Council July 5 at St. Regis Reservation. While President Roosevelt was guest of the Gridiron Club at the annual winter dinner tonight, Mrs. Roosevelt played host to the 'Gridiron Widows' at the White House. Women government officials, newspaper women, wives of Gridiron Club members, and wives of guests at Gridiron Dinner, were at the White House party. President Roosevelt's fondness for detective stories resulting in the Presidential Secretaries, Marvin McIntyre and Stephen T. Early remaining late on the job, was satirized in this skit presented by members of the Women's National Press Club.
