Hours after hours for five steady hours Fifth Avenue sounded with steady tramp of the marching men and the rousing cheers of all the New Yorkers who could crowd themselves along the line of the march. New York was hiding her boys in the National Guard who will uphold the honor of the Empire State in Europe farewell and she was doing it well.
