Dr. E. Francis Warren, of Harvard U., believes he will be able to "shoot down" the heaviest clouds and fog by his new invention demonstrated recently at Bolling Field, Wash., by Army fliers. The process uses sand and he states that if enough airplanes are equipped with this device, it will not only be possible to break up clouds and cause rainbut to remove fogs from over both cities and harbors.
