This type of pre-fabricated temporary emergency house will be shipped to Great Britain by the United States under lend-lease. War Production Board has allotted materials to the FEA for the production of 30,000 of these houses, the designed of which has been carefully screened to reduce to a minimum use of critical materials, including lumber. Procurement of the buildings will be undertaken by the Federal Public Housing Authority of the National Housing Agency. Bids for the construction of these units were to be in by March 5, 1945

It is planned to ship 30,000 of these pre-fabricated temporary emergency family dwellings to Great Britain under lend-lease. Materials have been allotted by the War Production Board and procurement of the buildings will be undertaken by the Federal Public Housing Authority

Houses for Britain. Putting finishing touches on roof of model house erected at Scott Circle, Washington, D.C. by the Federal Public Housing Authority. It is planned to ship this type of prefabricated temporary emergency house to Great Britain under lend-lease. War Production Board has allotted materials to FEA for the production of 30,000, the design of which has been carefully screened to reduce to a minimum the use of critical materials, including lumber. Procurement of the buildings will be undertaken by the Federal Public Housing Authority of the National Housing Agency. Bids for the construction of these units were to be in by March 5, 1945
