Connery, Jr., of Massachusetts, who sponsored the legislation on the house, as they anxiously awaited the Supreme Court ruling on the validity of the act today. The decision was not doubt reached but the court adjourned without announcing its ruling. The ruling cannot now be announced until next Monday, 4/5/1937

While their husbands attended the annual winter dinner of the Gridiron Club tonight, the wives, all members of the Women's National Press Club and appropriately called 'Gridiron Widows' by Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, were guests of the First Lady at the White House. Mrs. Roosevelt's appointment to the vacancy was a feature of the party. Left to right: Elizabeth May Craig as Justice Roberts; Helen Atwater as Justice Butler; Ruby Black as Justice McReynolds; Isabel Griffin as Justice Brandeis; Lilli L. Last rites for Marchall of U.S. Supreme Court. Washington, D.C., April 28. Funeral services for the late Frank Key Green, Marshal of the United States Cupreme Court for the last 23 years, were conducted today at Holy Trinity Catholic Church here. Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes and Associate Justices of the Court attended the services. Green had been actively connected with the high tribunal sice 1891, when he was appointed a page at 14. He successfully rose to librarian, crier, and in 1915, marshal, a policeman, acting as active pallbearers, are pictures carrying the casket from the church, 4/28/38
