Chickamauga Dam and powerhouse. Two views of visitors' reception room which overlooks Chickamauga Lake from a slight platform at one end, and contains reception desk and entrance to elevator and stairs. Map in mural form over reception desk is used by guard in explaining location and significance of project. Switchyard can be seen through glazed doors of vestibule; on opposite side, entire wall underneath the dedication test (1936-Built for the People of the United States of America-1940) consists of glass and opens view of generator hall to visitors
