Significance: The Bennett House contributes to the potential historic district in Upper Lockport as it is one of the oldest remaining buildings in the area and was constructed soon after the development of White's Western Addition in the late 1860s. The architecture of the Bennett House is similar to other buildings in the area in its vernacular character and Folk Victorian stylistic influences. Several tenants of the house were laborers at the Widmann Brewery.
