Summary
Significance: An early example of social housing in the International style. In the second story living rooms, Gill used continuous windows a hallmark of the International style for the first time in his career.
The Horatio West Court, 1919-1922, its typical of Irving John Gill's social housing for low income groups in its compactness, the off street environment created, and the use of concrete as a material. It is unique in plan and in the transparency of the second floor of the two-story attached dwellings.
