Significance: The facility provided a fixed transmitter as required for the Control Tower, Ground-Control Approach, and Radar Approach Control facilities. The facility included radio equipment for point-to-point and long-range air-ground communications. The facility included a 30kW emergency electric powered generator installed in 1984.
