The baskets in back of the women are filled with rags that have been sorted and classified. The women work in teams of two; it takes a team about two hours to sort the rags in one full bale. In another part of the plant, a room of the same size and general appearance as this is used for sorting used rags. Shapiro Company, Baltimore, Maryland
