Rattle & Snap, U.S. Route 43 (Andrew Jackson Highway), Columbia, Maury County, TN
Summary
Significance: Often referred to as "the most monumental house in Tennessee," this house is fine example of the lavish scale on which many Southern houses were built in the period 1845-1860. It is particularly noteworthy for its ornamental iron work and for the fine detail of its Corinthian columns both inside and out.
