Tower Grove Park, Sailboat Pond, 4255 Arsenal Street, Saint Louis, Independent City, MO

Significance: This is one of the principal water features of Tower Grove Park and is a well-preserved example of the Romantic landscape design favored by British and American architects in the 19th century. The composition includes simulated ruins actually constructed from fragments of a demolished St. Louis hotel.
