Significance: Probably built for Daniel McCray in 1909-10, this large frame house is one of many along Walnut, Elm and Cherry Streets built for the merchant class around the turn of the century. It is a simply massed and detailed structure, a typical house type for its period and neighborhood, which has undergone moderate alteration since it conversion into apartments.
