description

Summary

Shows the ship routes followed by the John Franklin Arctic Expedition of 1846-1861 in the eastern Canadian Arctic islands and along the western coast of Greenland; also shows wind direction indicators along the route lines.

The present map (No. 115) is hand colored blue only on small coastline sections where extensive shore examinations were undertaken and where verbal interviews of native Inuit residents were made.
