Summary
Significance: One of earliest buildings of the Atlanta University, which is one of the oldest and most influential universities for blacks in America. Also, one of the rare examples of the work of architect Gottfried L. Norrman. Because of tower and elevated location, has become a landmark of the central district of the city. A National Historic Landmark. Originally used as administrative building.
