G.N. (W.) Smith, better known as "Antelope" Smith, an old timer at Kearney
Summary
summary: Photographer's annotation: "It is told that one time he and one or two other sports were out deer hunting. The Indians got after them and Smith was going a head long gait through the tall grass and stated a young fawn who was peacefully sleeping. As the startled animal started away Smith kicked at it and said get out of the way and let a man run who can run. At any rate, ever since that day he has been known as Antelope Smith."
