Summary
Significance: The Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site is the oldest continually operated trading post on the Navajo Reservation dating from 1876. It is an institution which deeply influenced the acculturation of the Navajo to Anglo society in the aftermath of White conquest and the changing way of life of the twentieth century.
