James Leadbeater House, 213 South Pitt Street, Alexandria, Independent City, Virginia
Summary
Significance: This three-story brick town house was completed circa 1810 and is an excellent example of the residential architecture of the period. The design of this house suggests that the construction of other similar houses was anticipated, on the north side at least. However, the lots to the north and south were never built upon and at present form the garden.
