Summary
Significance: The John Newcomb House, probably late eighteenth century, is a traditional Cape Cod "double-house," now altered internally. John Newcomb was the Wellfleet oysterman whom Henry David Thoreau visited in this house in 1849 and immortalized in his book Cape Cod. Building Number 19-64 in the Cape Cod National Seashore.
