Summary
Significance: Along with the Sockman Road, Oak Knoll and Towpath bridges, the Laymon Road Bridge is one of the few remaining iron bridges based on a patent design significant in Ohio's highly competitive and experimental era of iron bridge construction. Designed by Joseph Davenport and built by the Massillon Bridge Company, the Laymon Road Bridge is an iron lattice bowstring truss.
