Summary

Significance: 22 by 100 foot outlet lock constructed in 1829 by the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company. The last of seven locks in the four mile Section Two between Dam 2 and Bowmanstown and this outlet lock. Lift: 9.1 feet. Inlet silted in and grassed over. Stonework of lower gate pockets intact. Timber wing walls at upper end in excellent condition. Lockhouse foundation and mule barn foundation on berm side well preserved with water on floor. Middle walls partially washed out; upper drop gate overgrown.
